Ampujavideo katosi YouTubesta Kauhajoen ampujaan mahdollisesti liittynyt video on poistettu YouTuben palvelimelta. Hänen käyttäjätilinsä on kokonaan suljettu.

Ylen ja STT:n mukaan ampuja on haavoittanut itseään päähän ja häntä kuljetetaan Tampereen yliopistolliseen keskussairaalaan.

Videon YouTubeen laittaneen henkilön käyttäjäprofiiliin oli kirjoitettu seuraava ”sodanjulistus”:
